Bonded father and son looking for their forever family!

Rusty and Thor’s owner is sadly having to downsize their home, so we are hoping that there is a kind soul out there that will open up their homes to Rusty and Thor.  In return your heart will be filled with the endless love and cute little antics that these two have to give.

Rusty is the father to Thor and these two have a very close bond.  Rusty has a lovely nature although he can be a bit timid in situations that he is unfamiliar with (and sometimes does a little nervous wee) Rusty was attacked by a bigger dog when he was out on a walk when he was younger, so he is quite fearful of other dogs.   Rusty isnt a barker and he loves adults and children once he gets to know them.  Thor also loves people and kids, but can be quite excitable and will jump up in his eagerness to spread his happy vibes.  Teenagers would probably be a better match than younger children.

Both dachshunds have been living outside in a kennel but have been used to spending some time inside during the day and evening.  We would love for them to be bought inside to sleep and learn the joys of movie nights on the couch and winter sleep in’s curled up in a basket.  Rusty and Thor will need an experienced dachshund owner who can teach them a new routine.  Reward based training will help to bring out the very best that these two have to offer.   An owner who works part time or from home/retired will have the time to ease these boys into their new routine.

Rusty and Thor both LOVE their food and in particular they wolf down their Dentastix which help keep their teeth clean.  If you are up for a game they will bowl you over in excitement for a game of tug

Rusty and Thor are both desexed and vaccinated and are up to date with their flea and worming.
