Betty is a beautiful dachshund with a gentle soul and a heart that truly belongs to her person. She is looking for a forever home where she can be a devoted companion and share a close, loving bond.

Betty can take a little time to settle into a new environment, but with patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, she quickly learns to trust. Walks are one of her favourite ways to connect, and once she feels safe, her affectionate nature really shines through.

She absolutely loves a car ride and has been well socialised, accompanying her current owner to shops, the beach, dog parks, and plenty of outings. While she has experienced a lot of the world, Betty prefers calm, respectful interactions—especially in busy places like Bunnings where people may approach quickly. She doesn’t react negatively; instead, she will quietly retreat and look to her person for reassurance.

Betty is more people-focused than dog-focused and would thrive as the centre of someone’s world. She forms a strong bond and is incredibly loving and loyal. That said, she has attended doggy daycare and has done well—earning admiration from her carers for her sweet nature and her ability to confidently (and calmly!) set boundaries with other dogs when needed.

At home, Betty is an absolute dream. She loves her sleep and will happily stay curled up in bed until you’re ready to start the day. She sleeps through the night and doesn’t wake for the toilet, making her an easy and low-maintenance companion in the home.

Betty has been deeply loved and included in every part of life, and she is ready to bring that same devotion to her next home. For the right person, she will be an incredibly special companion. 💛
