Sweet Miss Maggy came into DRA and is a reminder as to how important it is for our dachshunds to be desexed. Little did we know that she was in the early stages of pregnancy to her half brother from her previous home. At just on 12months of age, the vet felt that it was a high risk pregnancy given her age and the close sibling relationship of the father, so the sad but essential decision was made to desex and terminate at the same time. Maggy is now living the dachie dream life, she has an older brother dachshund in her new home, and two amazing pawrents that have fallen in love with her completely. She loves going and watching the local soccer games and being included in all family activities now. We think that she is being spoilt just a smidge but boy does she deserve it!
