Meet Maverick – Your Loyal Little Companion 🐾

Maverick is a 5-year-old smooth Miniature Dachshund searching for a loving forever home through no fault of his own. This handsome little guy has so much love to give.

Maverick is currently living in a home with children aged 5 and 7 and has been comfortable in that environment. He’s looking for a patient and caring family who will take the time to truly get to know him and help him build confidence in the world around him.

He would benefit from continued socialisation and some gentle lead training, as he’s still learning out on walks. Maverick is toilet trained and currently sleeps outside. However, he would absolutely welcome the opportunity to transition into an indoor home where he can be closer to his people and feel part of the family.

Maverick does experience separation anxiety, which can lead to barking, so he would thrive in a home where someone is around often or can gradually help him feel secure when left alone. With time, consistency, and reassurance, he is sure to settle beautifully.  He is very affectionate and loves cuddles. He will be your little shadow and best friend given the chance.

Maverick has not been tested with cats.
