Slinky has finally found a wonderful home after a bit of a false start. He needed a thorough health check and some dental work before going to his new home, but despite his shaky start, Ian and his family decided that they were prepared to accept his imperfections.
Ian writes "We decided to stick by him, not only did he need us but I think our family needed him. We were ready for another sausage after our girl daisy passed away on new years eve .
Fast forward a few weeks of caring for him properly and also receiving a lot of support from dachshund rescue this little guy is living his best life . He is totally settled in and is so affectionate. He loves being with everyone of us , he's enjoying 2 walks a day and also loves spending time with the other 2 Wieners in the family who are my wife's parents dogs both previously rescued through dachshund rescue.
His teeth are now clean , his skin has improved greatly and he had a scan on his heart and it isn't as bad as first thought."
