Rupert's breeder contacted DRA when the vets advised he was blind. The search was on for his "special" forever home!
We were very grateful when Eleanor and Luke did a road trip from Canberra to Adelaide. Rupert has two adorable sisters Rosie the basset and Hannah the dachshund. What more could a "boy" want. Unfortunately after a specialist visit it was confirmed Rupert was never going to have sight. We were hoping with a miracle it may have been possible. As he was born with this condition he knows no difference. This is his normal way he sees the world. Rupert's parents are very active and lucky dogs are socialised and go on lots of dachie walks.Rupert has a loving forever home thanks go to adopters that welcome these special needs pups. xx
