Handsome and elegant Zimmy, once a city slicker, is now relishing country life by the sea. At first the shrieking and wheeling galahs flying overhead were a cause for great concern, but now Zimmy is unperturbed by the local wildlife, including koalas. However like all dachshunds, Zimmy is territorial and feels he must protect his new home and family from marauding birds. The ensuing bark fest and bird chase is a bonding activity enjoyed with his senior canine brother. Galahs, Rosellas, parakeets begone!

Zimmy is adapting to his changed lifestyle where long walks by the river and ocean are a daily event. The smells are so enticing that Zimmy must sniff every grassy patch and object. Zimmy thinks his new family are wonderful. While Peter, his retired dad, remains the ‘go to’ person, Zimmy shows genuine delight when mum Tracey comes home from work or when grandchildren visit. Life is good.
