Success Stories

Greg wasn't a happy boy sharing his parents with a new baby. We were very fortunate to have some wonderful people apply to adopt Greg. He now keeps Sharon company and lives in a much quieter location. Greg is loving getting out walking the golf course encountering many kangaroos along the way. During his trial period Greg settled in every day, the addition of lots of new toys I think helped win this boy over. The couch is one of Greg's favourite spots, his previous owners are relieved to see him so happy and settled.

Sizzles is now living her best life with an active young couple. She loves being showered with affection and having her humans around. DRA made sure sizzles, was desexed and vaccinated, ready to start her new life. Sizzles is sweet girl, its lovely to see her settle into her forever home.

Millie joined our family at the perfect time. Poor little Hubble got very sick with pancreatitis and beautiful Millie came in and kept him company and mothered him. Millie is the most beautiful and loving little girl. She and Hubble sleep on my bed every night, Hubble likes my feet and Millie loves to lay on my neck!!! Millie loves my 2 year old grandsons who think she is the best. Thank you DRA for giving me the wonderful opportunity to give this amazing little girl her fur-ever home. ❤️❤️❤️

Frankie is a sweet little man who was finding the world a little bit overwhelming due to recent changes in his previous owners life. Frankie was matched up with Barbara and her husband Ray, plus their previous DRA rescue Woody. Barbaras calm, quiet routine is working out very well for Frankie, and he has settled into their life like peas in a pod. "We love him more every day and he is such a little character!" Frankie loves exploring his big new backyard with his new older brother, and we think that Woody is also enjoying having a little friend again to fill in the days.

Ollie and Finn are a bonded pair who luckily love travelling in the car as it was a rather long drive for them to finally arrive in their new home! The boys took no time to settle in and are loving their excursions to the beach which is Ollie's favourite place to explore. Finn is a smoochie boy who adores his cuddles. They have made friends with the little girl next door and they also enjoy a bark with Hampton the little white dog who lives on their other side. Ollie and Finn's other favourite time is hanging out in the human bed watching Netflix.

The incredibly handsome Kaiser who looks as though butter wouldn't melt in his mouth amazed his new owner at how quickly he adjusted to his new home. At only 8 days in, Kaiser (now affectionately known as Tazer) was being weaned off his medications, enjoying a healthy new diet and providing his new owner with lots of laughs. Tazer is now described as loyal, smart, curious, quiet when needed and yet he barks ferociously if scared by a shadow! With plenty of things that go bang, clunk and clonk, Tazer is forever entertained. Tazer also has the good fortune of now having a new sister Tasha who was missing her sister Terra and he has definitely filled the void she left behind. Tazer and Tasha's days are spent playing together before everyone crashes in the human bed at night.

Fidel and Che are a bonded pair who came in to DRA due to their severe separation anxiety. It's not been an easy journey for their new owners who have spent countless hours helping this gorgeous pair settle into their new lives. Hard work brings it's rewards and now Fidel and Che are cherised members of the family.

Slinky has had a big change in his life and no longer feels the need to be top dog now that he is an only dog. He is lapping up all the attention and cuddles, but the best thing about his new life is that Slinky is earning his keep and going to work each day with his new owner Paul! This change has bought out the best in Slinky and his new owners are just besotted with this gorgeous little boy.

Blu is now living his healthy new life after dropping some much needed weight and being prescribed some natural oils into his diet by his vet. Although he suffered a few 'Hangry" moments during his settling in period with his new furry siblings Sizzle and Finn, he is now a happy and content boy and they are all coping very well with each other. Blu has discovered the joys of squeaky toys and they no longer send him into turmoil. Blu has been welcomed lovingly into his new home and he equally adores his new family (especially their daughter). Blu is always found hanging out with her and his favourite time is when they snuggle together and watch Netflix
