Bubbles – WA
10 year old Bubbles (who doesn't appear to have one grey hair!) has been successfully adopted by a wonderful lady who is now a valuable member of our Failed Fosters. Membership to this club comes with it's rewards and we know that Bubbles will provide lots of loyalty and love for her new owner. Bubbles came into DRA with a thyroid condition which is now managed well with medication. Bubbles has a new older feline sister and a furry cousin called Lulu who likes to visit.
Suds – (WA)
Suds (now known as Fritz) is a lucky boy who is now the proud dachshund of two very experienced owners. Fritz enjoyed his walks but like some dachshunds, was barking and lunging at the other dogs and humans that he came across. Soon after arriving at his new home Fritz had a much needed nail clip and started his training. We know that it's not always an easy fix but with time and patience it can be done. Fritz's new owners are there for him and luckily are prepared to put the effort in. Being a smart boy who is eager to please we know that Fritz will thrive with his new family. Thank you to his owners and all involved in helping Fritz find his forever home.
Cosi – WA
At just over a year old, Cosi is a sensitive and playful little boy who unfortunately needed to be found a new home through no fault of his own. Cosi is now living with a female dachshund who was very happy with his arrival. Cosi has fitted into his new home life as though he's been there all his life.
Moe (1) canberra
Moe is now living a very peaceful life. He came to DRA a very anxious boy. Living in an apartment with an antagonistic neighbour.
Made life miserable for everyone, most of all Moe. He has now been adopted by a dachshund loving lady, with loads of time and patience for Moe. He loves his new backyard and learning doggy manners out walking. We can't thank these new adopters enough for providing loving enriching homes.
Sully – VIC
Sully was lucky enough to be adopted into just about every dogs dream home. He is living the rural lifestyle and now has a sister called Biscuit with whom he spends his days with. Biscuit and Sully cause absolute mayhem racing around the house and like to think that the kitchen island bench is part of their racetrack. These two love to chill after their big play sessions, and Sully is equally content snuggling up his Mums dressing gown for a little nap. Sully has been described as just adorable and clever by his new owners...we are so glad he is bringing them such joy!
Lola – Blue Mountains
Lola is a very happy girl after being placed in a home where she is the one and only pet. Being the recipient of plenty of affection, cuddles and playtime she is in her element. Lola enjoys being able to wander outside to enjoy the sunshine through her doggie door and she also likes to be on the sofa to look out the window. Enjoy your new life Princess Lola!
Toula 3 (melbourne)
Dear Toula, has finally found the home she deserves. This sweet girl had been bred then sold and sadly bred again. The priority was to get Toula speyed to start her new life.
DRA was very fortunate with her new owners Caroline and Mark that welcomed Toula with open arms.
It's been a long road to get Toula to feel safe and at ease.
Her brother Mr. Darcy has helped her feel at home.
We hope this sweet girl can now feel the love of a quiet home.
The team at DRA are very grateful to owners that welcome these dachshunds into there homes.
Toula has a lovely backyard and lives in a idyllic spot near the beach.
Milo (melbourne)
Milo wasn't happy having a busy toddler to share his owners company. Milo didn't think much of the mobile child. He would much rather be around 4 paws not 2. Milo has now gone to a home with an older dachshund brother for company. His owners are elated to see Milo a happy boy rehomed. He plays zoomies chasing his new best mate. A much more relaxed dachshund without toddlers to worry him. Thankyou to his new owners that have provided the enrichment he needed.
Bella (2) & Ollie (3) ACT best buddies # bonded pair
Ollie and Bella's owner was relocating and he came to DRA to help place them in a loving home. These dachshunds had lived a pampered life and were well cared for.
A perfect match came in for them and we thanked Kirsi for driving from Melbourne to Canberra to meet them.
A safe road trip home after resting up and getting to know each other went well. They have taken exceptionally well to there new home and there previous owner is grateful Ollie and Bella have found there forever home.
