Snags (2) casino nsw
Snags has landed on all 4 paws. We are very grateful when the public advocates for dogs that are doing it tough. Sadly snags wasn't living the best life on a chain in the back garden. We are extremely fortunate that a local was able to collect the little chap immediately. His foster carer was a superstar. Snags made himself at home the moment he walked through their front door. Followed miss pebbles around, loved having human and doggie company. DRA has had his vet work done.Having a lovely big garden to play in and explore is just idyllic for Snags. Snags has his happily ever after, Michelle has "officially"adopted Snags! Honestly these little ones are so grateful when they have the creature comforts of a home. A huge thank you to all involved.
Gabriel (Gabe) – Dachshund Cross Kelpie – VIC
Sweet Gabe is an adorable dachshund cross who found himself looking for his new home due to the rental crises. Gabe was a little unsettled on arrival and it took him a day or so to start to eat and drink again but now that's all behind him and he is well and truly making himself at home. Gabe is enjoying spending time in the garden exploring and also has managed to dig a lovely hole in the middle of the lawn! Gabe loves going on walks and is very well behaved on the lead. Gabe is a smart little boy and has already learnt a few commands (with the help of treats!). He is as good as gold with his manners and not one accident in the house! This little cutie is a definite keeper! All the best Gabe!
Lucy Sunshine Coast QLD
Lucy settled in quickly, the routine the adopters set has Lucy knowing her daily walks, when is mealtime and of course outside activity. The adopters took time to allow her to find her feet. She still rushes at unfamiliar dogs, and they are working on that so she will be the best pooch on the street. She has filled the house with loads of fun and laughter by them and excited barks by her. Thank you so much Lucy is extremely lucky. DRA is very grateful.
Pretzel, 7yrs 5 mths, Brisbane Region, QLD.
Pretzel was living a lonely life in his previous home, but all that has changed and Pretzel is now a much loved and cherished member of his new family and he has a big sister Lexi to snuggle up with. Lexi and Pretzel are living the dachie dream, with their new owner working from home, a big backyard to sniff out sunny spots and also regular walks along the river. As we were updated "He is a beautiful boy and we love him very much!" Thanks for choosing to adopt a rescue dachshund!
Mocha, 3yrs 10mths, Melb VIC.
Mocha hadnt had a great start to life, with already having had several homes before her guardian angel from another rescue contacted us to see if we could help with a new home for her. We had just the family in mind for Mocha, and at the meet and greet we could all tell it was just meant to be. On the way to her new home, she was already snuggling up to her bigger brother Ernie, who couldnt believe his luck that he now had a younger sister. Its worked out better than we expected and Miss Mocha has definitely found her forever home and her happy ever after. Thankyou for choosing to adopt a rescue dachshund!
Gertrude (Gertie) – Sydney
Gertie is a dear little dachshund with a sweet desposition. Although she has always been an anxious girl she is very smart. On arrival at her new home she soon had her adoptive family organised just the way she wanted. Her beautiful personality and her loving nature brings a lot of joy to her new mum. Gertie loves to play with gusto and although she is a little sensitive to loud noises, she is enjoying her walks and going to the beach. It's fair to say that Gertie has brought a lot of pleasure to her family and everyone is very happy with her.
hank ( 2 Years 10 months) Chocolate Mini Smooth – Singleton NSW
Hank was surrendered to us with 3 other dogs as his owner was too ill to care for him so we needed to find a home that he could share with another dog and owners who would be give him the love and attention he deserved.
It was a very emotional day when the owners' son picked Hank up after long drive, with many tears shed during the meet and greet. Once home he soon settled into his new home and was taken for his first big walk on the property. The other 2 resident dogs are showing him the ropes and he is learning new adventures and wonderful new smells.
Lulu (2 years 9Months) Mini Smooth Cream- Singleton NSW
We visited the Dachshund Australia Website and saw lovely little Lulu. After reading her profile we thought she was a great fit for us so we made an application. A meet and greet was arranged with the current owners with our two dogs to see if they would be a good match. After a few minutes Lulu and our dogs got on well so we decided to go ahead with a two week trial.
Lulu has settled in wonderfully during the two week trial. She has settled into our routines and has shown more of her personality every day. She loves our daily walks and playing fetch and sleep on the lounge with our other two (Aussie bulldog and mini foxie). Lulu has become a much loved addition to our family. The adoption process was also really easy and DRA member Diane was very helpful along the whole process. We are so happy with how the whole process went and love Lulu to bits.
