Obi (3) Mini Long Hair – Bowen Hills Qld
We had to find a new home for Obi as his Mum is going overseas The meet and greet went well and he went home to a loving family with a new doggie friend called Bella. Obi took a while to settle in to his new surroundings but, with some patience and training, he is now settling in well and has turned the corner. He is well loved and gets a lot of attention, daily walks and sleeps in his own bed in the bedroom. Obi and Bella have become best mates. A great story about a wonderful family who were prepared to put the effort into providing Obi with a loving forever home.
Charlie – Sydney
Charlie is a dear little dachshund and it was a very reluctant decision with only his best interests at heart that he was rehomed. You see, Charlie is a young and energetic boy who loves being outside playing but he would often be found wagging his tail whilst looking down from the apartment balcony watching the people and their dogs in the park below. Charlie now has a beautiful garden where he loves to help his new mum with the gardening, explore, play and patrol the perimeter with his nose into everything! Charlie also now has an older dachshund sister who is delighted with his arrival as she had been missing her previous dachshund brother Reggie. Charlie loves his walks and is a great little companion who is always ready to join his new dad for adventures at his favourite park!
Norah, 3yrs, Canberra Region.
"Norah came to us 3 weeks ago and in that time she has become a much loved member of our family. Shes happy, well mannered and loves her daily walks and new friends. Thank you DRA for trusting us to be her new forever family!
Charlotte, 4yrs 11mths, Canberra Region.
When Miss Charlottes new owner saw her profile on our website she had an instant bond and after talking with her on the phone we knew that these two ladies were meant to be together. Jane drove 8 hours each way to meet Charlotte, and we were all very relieved and could see the instant connection. Charlotte is the apple of Janes eye, and is now living opposite a river in Country Victoria and enjoys the daily strolls along the paths and enjoys meeting other dogs and dachies along the way. Thank you for choosing to adopt!
Daisy (8 weeks) Caloundra QLD
Daisy has landed on all four paws in her forever home. Placing an 8 week old puppy is challenging. Experienced owners, home with lots of patience and time to nurture a pup. DRA is very grateful Tam and family came forward for the challenge. Miss Daisy has a gorgeous Big Brother Rambo. He is besotted with his little sister. They play and wrestle 24/7. Vet visits and vaccinations out the way, Daisy has a clean bill of health. Each day she is growing and full of mischief. We looks forward to hearing more Daisy updates thriving with Rambo!
Derek and Chilli (5&4) Mini Smooth and Mini Long Haired – Morayfield Qld
Derek and Chilli's Mum had no choice but to rehome them as she needed to relocate and couldn't take them with her. We found a great foster Mum who took them in and made them part of the family.
Monique saw their picture on the web site and applied to adopt. The meet and greet went well and Monique took them home. The next day we received a message to say that they've explored the back yard... Derek's marking his territory Chilli's chilling.... they're just beautiful 🙏🤗
A couple of days later we received a message to say that they were seriously settling in really well... sleep in their crate beside my bed, only a couple accidents inside, otherwise the run out through the doggy door..... have snuggles on the couch and run around playing with each other when they get the zoomies. Needless to say they were adopted and have found a wonderful home with a loving Mum.
Mini – Peakhurst N.S.W
Mini has fitted into our family seamlessly. From day one the whole family fell in love with her. She has another Dachshund in the house in a big brother Bentley to help her settle in and show her the ropes. DRA has been amazing through the whole process and we will be forever grateful for them for bringing Mini into our lives. Thank you
Lulu, 10mths, Bris, QLD.
Lulu sadly was also a victim of the current housing crisis, it was with a heavy heart that she was surrendered to DRA. However Lulu has adjusted well to her new home in the hinterland on acreage. Her new owners have said "It was love at first sight with Lulu, she bonded with my husband and has become his shadow. Lulu loves to hangout with her new big sister Sasha and myself on the couch at night. She loves our morning and afternoon walks and understands that putting the harness on means "FUN"! She happily goes in and out of her crate at night, usually exhausted from walking, playing and barking. She is such a sweet, loyal and very funny girl.
