Well a strange thing happened to me last week. I went to an emergency ‘foster’ home organised by DRA and found myself with 4 brothers and sisters! I thought these aren’t bad digs, everyone seems nice hope I stay. i asked my new housemates how do I get to stay here, food is good. They said see that guy over there, win him over and your in, so I hatched my plan. Played ball with him. sat on his lap and snuck into bed that night to spoon him. Next day the man of the house announced to the lady ‘well she isn’t going anywhere is she’ Haha i knew by asking to sleep with him I was in! Now i am happily running around with my siblings and helping feed all the animals. the others are also rescues and they tell me they love it here and to keep playing up to the man of the house as he gives lots of treats. My favorite new activity is feeding the alpacas in the morning. My retirement is now secure!

Darling Scooby was surrendered with pregnant Summer in DRA foster care currently with her seven puppies.
Scooby has now has all his vet work done and found an idyllic home in the country. Life is great for Scooby. He adores his new family, thank you to the adopters that welcome these dachshunds with open arms!

Tico completed our family about 3 months ago and he couldn’t have settled in better.😍 Tico and our other dachshund Frankie are best friends and barely spend a minute apart. 🫶 Tico’s been enjoying sleeping in the sun, playing in the back yard, lots of walks and even more cuddles. It was like the universe aligned to make sure Tico joined our family and we couldn’t imagine life without him now.🥰 Frankie absolutely adores Tico. It really was like they were made to be together. 🐾
