We recently welcomed Billie, our gorgeous new dachshund, into our home through Dachshund Rescue Australia, and we couldn’t be happier. From the very first day, Billie settled in beautifully and has fit into our family as though he was always meant to be here.
Joining our other dachshund Rumi, he has brought so much joy and companionship. Rumi absolutely adores having a playmate, and watching their bond grow has been incredibly special. Billie is thriving — full of personality, love, and confidence — he's an absolute gentleman and it’s clear he’s feeling safe, secure, and right at home.
We are so grateful to Dachshund Rescue Australia for the care, dedication, and love they show in giving dogs a second chance. Thanks to them, Billie has found his forever family, and we love him to bits. 💙🐾

'Just a short note to once thank you and everyone involved with the rescues. We adopted Malcom and Bonnie. Bonnie has explored every inch of our house and garden every day on the search for lizards. Malcolm has a tail that wags almost the whole time he is with people and expects a tummy rub for his effort. At night they rest on my knees till bed time. They sleep together in their basket at the end of our bed. never moving till they hear us wake, greet my husband then go back to sleep while keeping guard on me. Both dogs have bought us such joy and are so well behaved. I know their original family did such a great job in their first 6 years and at this time of year will think of them with great memories. I hope all your other dogs are having as happy a time and find their forever homes quickly with treats at the ready"
