ziggy

Ziggy’s journey to happiness was a long and challenging one, but his resilience shone through every step. After being abandoned, he spent over three weeks in bushland before being rescued, weak and suffering from a paralysis tick. His survival was uncertain, but against the odds, Ziggy pulled through. In foster care, he received rehabilitation and simple training, slowly regaining his strength. Now, Ziggy has found his forever home, where he’s adored by his new family and shares a special bond with his best buddy, Foxy the Pomeranian. His once uncertain future is now filled with love and joy.

Monty (8yrs 4mths) Geelong Vic

I would like to thank you for all your help. Monty is the perfect boy. He has found himself very much at home. Loves being outside and inside. When Tony sits in his recliner at any time, there is Monty sleeping in his lap or following him wherever he goes. Bedtime sees Monty, not sleeping in his bed but Sleeping on the recliner in the bedroom. He has won both our hearts and anyone else's who meets him. He is a beautiful and loving boy. Once again thank you for all your help. Cheers lan and Tony. " It's a delight to receive updates, on how well and loved these dachshunds are"

Rosie (10) Willunga S.A

Rosie a gentle Dachshund who has rediscovered the happiness of belonging with a family that matches her mellow and affectionate nature. Having once been the dearly-loved companion of her female owner, Rosie thrives yet again in the company of equally warm-hearted humans. Her current home with a retired couple who have ample experience with Dachshunds suits her perfectly as they provide plenty of lap snuggles. Rosie adores these peaceful, loving moments, contentedly curling up on their laps while basking in the household's calm atmosphere. Rosie hasn't lost her love for a leisurely stroll around the block. Her soft warmth and heartwarming presence have filled this home once again with the patter of tiny feet.

duke (10 months) sydney

Duke has been part of our family for a week now and I thought I would give you an update. Duke has been the perfect addition to our family. He adores his brother Henry. Henry however is still getting used to no longer being the only child. Duke is such a clever boy and is very well trained. Something that we are very thankful for and appreciate his previous family for putting the time and effort into achieving. He spent the first couple of days hanging out with his dachshund Uncles Teddy and Bennie who are also DRA dachshunds. He enjoyed daily wrestles with Uncle Bennie and pestering old Uncle Teddy. We hit the road on Tuesday for our long road trip to the Northern Territory and he has been such a great traveller. He went for his first ever swim and loved it. He has also enjoyed a couple cheeky visits to the pub where he is the centre of attention. I just want to say a huge thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide Dukey with a home. We absolute adore him and can't thank you enough for making the process so smooth. Duke has been a busy snag! We have finally made it to the Katherine this afternoon. Dukes former owner is so grateful he has found a wonderful caring home with lots of company. May the adventures begin!! Duke went to Walkabout Creek Pub yesterday and Daly Waters Pub today where he met two donkeys! See pics below.
