Monty 11 months melbourne

My successfully re-homed story is coming very soon

Lola, 1yr 7 mths.

Lola has swapped the beach life for the country life, and like the little super star she is she is shining bright out on the farm! Lola has a new older brother called Toby, and these two are certainly providing some entertainment for their new owners. Toby and Lola love going for strolls around the farm, taking in all the new sights and sounds, but the highlight is probably when they are popped in the basket on the quad bike and get to have a close encounter with the cows.

Daisy shell cove nsw

Young Daisy has found her forever home with Victoria and Fraser. Poppy the resident dachshund has been the best est girl welcoming her new playmate. Daisy has been quite the handful. She loves her new family so much she never wants them to leave. DRA attended Daisy's vet work to get her off to the best start. We enlisted Emily from Switched On dog training to teach Daisy some manners out walking. The big wide world was a bit scary for Daisy. We are forever grateful To Daisy's new owners. They have stuck with this wee girl and their commitment is to be admired. Daisy you are a very lucky dachshund.!

Bells – Brisbane

Bells has brought a lot of joy to her new home. After not having a dachshund in their lives for a number of years, the timing was right to bring Bells into their family. After only a few short days it was clear that Bells was going to be a permanent new addition. Bells is enjoying her daily walks to the park and spending time exploring her new garden. Bells enjoys sitting on the couch where it is now positioned so she can watch her mum prepare her home cooked dinners, which are going down very well. It is suffice to say that Bells is going to be a very adored and spoilt dachshund in her new home which is a wonderful outcome for all.

Paul, 1yr, SYD, NSW.

Once Paul was adopted into his new family, he has taken it all in his doggy stride and adjusted very quickly. His owners report that he has made the transition to inside living and loves sleeping inside and curls up in his bed next to his buddy Chopsy. Chopsy and Paul love to have a good play session, although Paul is quite small and agile and has worn out Chopsy and few times with his energetic zoomie routine. Pauls new owners report that they love him very much and we are sure that Paul loves them equally as much. Two very happy waggy tails in this house hold! Thank you to Kim and her family for choosing to adopt.

Dolly, 11yrs, Lithgow NSW

My successfully re-homed story is coming very soon

Dappley (8yrs), Lithgow, NSW.

Poor Dudley came into rescue a needing quite a bit of TLC. His health was a huge priority and he was soon booked in for his desexing and a major dental where he had 15 infected and rotten teeth removed. But this little fella has bounced back and is relishing the new experiences that have enriched his life, as can be read below that his owners just recently sent to us "As experienced dachshund owners Dudley is our number 5 and our first rescue. From the moment we all met, Dudley sat in the front of the ute on my lap with that look of ‘let our adventures begin’ and boy have they! In good and positive ways this boy never ceases to amaze us and includes his new BIG sister Bella the blue heeler, who had missed her dachshund sisters from when they passed. Dudley embraces all things new, including his weekly visit to his new dachshund bestie Cecil, letting the ducks out in the mornings, feeding the chooks, meeting the cows and his NEW favourite past time of backyard bone bank deposits, withdrawals and transfers. (yes Dudley spends hours hiding bones, digging up Bellas and rehiding them…cheeky!) He loves his walks and is a very focussed walker. It is his mission without disruption, even when Bella wants to dilly dally in the park. No challenge large or small seems to phase this happy chappy, he bounces back happier and stronger. We cannot speak more highly of our experience with DRA and we must thank the lovely Anna from DRA from the bottom of our hearts, for her left-of-field phone call. The interview process was very thorough and informative, at all times we were on the same page with Anna and her continuing caring follow up phone calls. It was made very clear from the beginning that the future well-being and care of Dudley was DRA’s focus."

Denny.(12weeks) melbourne

Denny was a much awaited dachshund by his former owner. Sudden illness left her unable to care for this sweet chap. Fortunately our wonderful foster carers Liam and John stepped up to care for him. The search was on for his forever family. He has been adopted by a young family and a bonus a home by the beach And a gorgeous big sister Pinot the beagle. His heartbroken owner knows Denny is much loved and his days are filled with fun.
